In his rookie season in the PDRA Pro Street series, Ethan Steding, a former PDRA Pro Jr. Dragster world champion, clinched the Pro Street world championship. Shortly after, he became a Pro 10.5 Challenge champion, defeating Chris Tuten in a high-stakes $25,000 final round. Steding’s journey to victory was unique and marked by some controversy. Driving a Ty Tutterow-tuned ’24 Camaro, he showcased strong performances, including a notable 4.004 time to rank third initially, though he later dropped to eighth by the end of qualifying in a fiercely competitive field with 25 entries.

Steding faced challenges like an unexpected first-round matchup, where Jerry Morgano couldn’t compete, allowing Steding to post a 3.96 time unopposed. He then bested fellow competitor Blake Denton but faced elimination in the semifinals, only to be reinstated when Bill Lutz failed a post-race inspection. In the final, Steding redeemed himself with a winning run of 3.934 against Tuten’s 4.104, after a quick pit stop to service his vehicle.

Steding credited his success to his team, family, and sponsors. Motivated by his recent victories, he now focuses on defending his Pro Street title and aims to eventually compete in Pro Boost and Pro Mod alongside his father. Winning has fueled his determination for the upcoming season, affirming his confidence in the competitive landscape.
