The 19th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park was characterized by sweltering weather that posed challenges for racers and crew chiefs alike. Highlights from the event, captured by photographer Dave Oakes, include several thrilling matchups across various categories.

Justin Ashley made a significant impact in the Top Fuel division, securing a holeshot victory against Clay Millican with a time of 3.931 seconds to Millican’s 3.922. In the Funny Car category, Austin Prock triumphed over Matt Hagan with a close 4.06 to 4.09 finish. Cory Reed clinched the Pro Stock win with a 6.64 at 207.30 mph as Dallas Glenn encountered tire issues.

The Pro Stock Motorcycle Final saw John Hall outpace Richard Gadson 6.88 to 6.96. Sean Bellemeur defeated Shane Westerfield with a time of 5.54 in the Killer B’s event, while McKenna Bold showcased her talent by beating Sean Cowie in Top Alcohol Dragster. John DeFlorian took the Mountain Motor Pro Stock title with a 6.36 against Johnny Pluchino’s 6.40.

Cruz Pedregon broke a qualifying slump, earning the top spot at 3.890 seconds. Notably, Doug Kalitta secured his position in the Top Fuel field by defeating Tony Stewart in the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. The event also featured Gaige Herrera, who won his third consecutive #2Fast2Tasty event. Matt Hartford notably earned $40,000 by winning the Getrex Pro Stock Call Out.
