Victor Ellinger triumphed in the $50,000 main event on Strange Engineering Friday during the Summit Racing Equipment Fling at Norwalk, held at the Summit Motorsports Park. The event featured a competitive field of 400 box entries and 32 no-box entries. In the no-box final, Jaeden Durst emerged victorious against Jennifer Vignola, earning a $2,000 bonus and a championship trophy after a strong start.

In the competitive box eliminations, Ellinger, Brian Willingham, Ryan Sparks, Zac Fulcher, Dylan Guy, and Glenn Ferguson Jr. advanced to the ladder. Ellinger displayed exceptional skill, with a .012 light and a .006 advantage over Willingham in his final round, while Fulcher won narrowly against Sparks by just four-thousandths. Guy also secured his spot, defeating Ferguson Jr. with a .012 light.

The semifinals featured intense races, with Ellinger’s dead-on five run earning him a place in the finals against Fulcher. Ultimately, Ellinger clinched victory by a mere thousandth of a second, achieving a dead-on three run for his first win at the Fling, just before his 50th birthday.

The event will continue with the ATI Performance Products $50,000 race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, with live coverage available on the @RaceTheFlings YouTube channel. For further updates, fans can check BracketRaces.com or follow the Spring Fling Bracket Races Facebook page.
