The West Coast Bracket Races held its Southwest Showdown at Tucson Dragway from March 13-16, 2025, where several racers achieved significant victories despite challenging weather conditions. The event featured two Super Pro $10Ks, one Super Pro $15K, and three Pro $5Ks, while the Pro 32 and $20K Shootouts were unfortunately canceled due to scheduling issues.

Jacob Collins won the golf cart race, capitalizing on local competitor Joe Kidd’s red-light start in the final. In the Kidd Performance Friday races, Don Toia claimed victory in the Super Pro $10K, beating Carson Campbell with a minor advantage at the finish line. Brandon Umberger also excelled, winning the $5K Pro race against Kidd in a tight final.

On Hughes Performance Saturday, Travis Keys triumphed in the $15K Super Pro category, showcasing excellent performance and achieving his first WCBR big win. Umberger continued to shine, winning the $5K Pro race again against Matt Hawk.

RB Components Sunday featured Paul Lorton winning the $10K Super Pro and Tony Marconi taking home the $5K Pro title. Lorton notably came close to a dual-class final, while Marconi had a resurgence after slower starts earlier in the weekend. Overall, the event concluded with commendations to all winners and finalists, showcasing the high competitive spirit and camaraderie among the racers.
