This week’s DragChamp Racer Spotlight features Curt Harvey, a passionate racer from Greenville, TX, who began his racing journey in 1993, inspired by his father’s legacy. Together, they built Curt’s first car, a 1965 Mercury Comet, and his father’s guidance remains a significant influence in his racing career. Curt currently races a 2022 EZ Chassis dragster, which he built himself, and has competed in a variety of vehicles including Top Sportsman cars and regular door cars.

Curt primarily participates in big-money bracket races, having a notable history with IHRA events in Top Dragster. He has achieved several accolades, such as multiple divisional race wins and Top Dragster championships in 2007 and 2015. His impressive track record includes 26 wins in $10K+ races and honors like the Division 4 Driver of the Year award and the 2019 Big Check Series Points Championship.

His family, including his wife Krista and daughter Sabrina, provide unwavering support, which Curt deeply values. Outside of racing, he is a partner at Rafter P Construction, a respected general contracting firm. They specialize in custom builds and are committed to community engagement, notably in youth racing and agriculture.

Curt acknowledges his sponsors, including Rafter P Construction and Mickey Thompson Tires, as vital to his success. He expresses gratitude for their continuous support throughout his racing endeavors.
