Gulfport Dragway, known as the “racecation destination,” is set to host a historic event for the Southeast Gassers Association (SEGA) this weekend with the Gulf Coast Nationals. This marks the first double race weekend in SEGA history, taking place on October 10 and 11. Qualifying and eliminations will occur on both days, critical as competitors vie for points in the championship season.

Friday’s event will kick off at 4 PM Central Time, a departure from SEGA’s typical schedule, featuring qualifying rounds followed by eliminations under the lights—a rare sight for SEGA. This exciting Friday night is anticipated to draw significant attention, with championship points at stake.

Saturday’s racing will resume at the regular start time of 1 PM CT, continuing with more qualifying and eliminations. The buzz of the event coincides with “America’s Largest Block Party,” Cruisin’ The Coast, adding an energetic atmosphere filled with classic car culture and nostalgia.

Weekend passes are set at $40, with single-day tickets priced at $25. Gates open at 1 PM on Friday and 9 AM on Saturday, with free entry for kids under 10. For those unable to attend, SEGA will livestream both days of racing.

This double-header promises thrilling drag racing that celebrates the golden era of 1960s gasser racing, making it a can’t-miss affair for automotive enthusiasts. For more information, you can visit the official websites and social media channels.
