At the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals, seasoned Pro Mod drivers Jim Halsey and Jeff Rudolf faced a harrowing incident that ended their weekend at Bradenton Motorsports Park. With over 80 top-tier competitors vying for a spot in a 32-car field, the competition was intense, leading each racer to treat their runs as crucial for qualifying.

During the second qualifier, both drivers unleashed powerful performances. Halsey’s Camaro experienced wheel lift and veered over the centerline, while Rudolf’s car was on a solid run but soon turned disastrous. After crossing the finish line, Rudolf’s Camaro violently veered right, flipping onto its roof and smashing into the wall. This chaotic scene unfolded as Halsey, trying to avoid the wreckage, braked hard but also made contact with the wall.

The aftermath was a wreck of smoking debris, but miraculously, both drivers emerged with their lives. Halsey walked away unharmed, while Rudolf was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
