SCAG Racing approaches the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals with strong momentum across its three teams. Top Fuel driver Justin Ashley, coming off victories in Richmond and Norwalk, aims to maintain his competitive edge as he prepares for a critical weekend in Seattle. Currently third in points, Ashley emphasizes the importance of the first Friday qualifying session to establish a solid foundation. He’s also eyeing the Saturday Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge for further eliminations-style competition.

In the Funny Car division, Daniel Wilkerson enters Seattle tied for sixth in points. Although he experienced a red-light in Norwalk, he has recently achieved back-to-back semifinal appearances and victories in the #2Fast2Tasty events. Wilkerson expresses confidence in his team’s performance, stating his Mustang has been formidable, and he hopes to improve upon last year’s early exit.

Dave Richards is focused on redemption this season, returning to Seattle after a first-round crash last year. Currently 14th in points, he acknowledges his team’s progress with two semifinal finishes but recognizes the need for better results. Richards emphasizes consistency as essential for turning their hard work into points on the racetrack.

Together, SCAG Racing’s teams are optimistic about showcasing their strengths and securing valuable points during this pivotal event.
