Shawn Reed celebrated his first professional Top Fuel victory at the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout held at Bradenton Motorsports Park. In the Top Fuel final, Reed faced off against seasoned driver Josh Hart and secured the win with a time of 3.699 seconds at 330.39 mph, narrowly beating Hart’s 3.724 seconds. Reed expressed his excitement and gratitude for his team and sponsors, highlighting the significance of winning such a prestigious race.

In the Funny Car final, three-time champion Ron Capps triumphed over defending winner Austin Prock, clocking in at 3.870 seconds at 330.47 mph, while Prock finished with a time of 4.003 seconds. Capps emphasized the uniqueness of the event and thanked SCAG for their support.

The Pro Stock final saw Troy Coughlin Jr. claim victory when Cory Reed was disqualified for a red-light start. Coughlin Jr. described the win as surreal and acknowledged the importance of it as a strong beginning to the season, thanking the PRO group and sponsors.

The event, which attracted a near-capacity crowd, featured elimination rounds followed by a concert from Andy Ross, marking an exciting kickoff to the NHRA season.
