As the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car series reaches its midway point, four events have taken place, primarily east of the Rockies. While competitors’ best two events contribute to their scores, results thus far reveal frontrunners in various classes.

Nine Lives Racing Lucky 7 Outlaw Class: Justin Peachey leads with 795 points from his ’07 Corvette, but contenders like Danny Weller’s ’19 Camaro and David Marcus’s ’22 Porsche GT3 are closely behind, making this class competitive.

Speedtech GTV Class: Defending champion Chris Smith’s ’70 Camaro has an impressive lead, with 40 points ahead of his son, Jason. Other notable competitors include Wayne Atkins’ and Brian Hobaugh’s Camaros, but catching Smith will require exceptional performances.

No-Limit Engineering GTT Class: Tyler Hawker tops the points with his ’20 Colorado, although he is challenged by David Carroll’s ’74 Blazer and several strong newcomers, indicating a wide-open race for the title.

Geaux Moto GTC Class: Dayton de la Houssaye leads with a 470-point weekend in his Mazda MX-5, but his eligibility for Las Vegas depends on additional runs.

GTS Class: Bob Sobey continues to dominate, but the race for second is competitive, with Brandon Hurst’s Tesla currently maintaining a narrow lead.

GTL Class: Austin Barnes poses a significant challenge to Sobey, while 2020 champion CB Ramey seeks a comeback.

GT Class: Brian Reilly leads, but contenders are close behind, hinting at an exciting second half of the season beginning in late June at Road America.
