NHRA officials announced a sellout on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway, marking a successful conclusion to the three-day Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge. This 38th annual event, part of NHRA’s 75th anniversary season, recorded full-capacity attendance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fans enjoyed a range of attractions, including the Deecell After Dark Low Qualifier, the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout, the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, multiple qualifying sessions, and the eliminations in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series on Sunday. The event drew overflow crowds each day, benefiting from ideal weather, making it one of the most attended events of the NHRA season. This successful weekend adds to NHRA’s tally of eight sellout days in 2023, with notable capacity crowds previously occurring in Gainesville, Valdosta, Maryland, and Epping. The high attendance illustrates the growing popularity and momentum of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series as it progresses into the latter half of the season.
