The NHRA has announced the 2026 schedule for the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League, marking its 34th year and coinciding with NHRA’s 75th anniversary. Summit Racing Equipment continues as the title sponsor for this youth racing league, aimed at ages 5-17. The season includes eight-car shootouts at various NHRA national events, as well as the Western Conference Finals at the Texas Motorplex (June 12-13) and the Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway (July 16-18).

These shootouts, which began four years ago, will be held at all seven NHRA division events, including two at Pomona Dragstrip. Winners will receive a special diamond trophy commemorating NHRA’s anniversary. The season kicks off with the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals from April 9-12, featuring a televised finale.

Additionally, each division will host championship points races and a Season Championship series, contributing to an extensive racing schedule. The league has been a launching pad for many now-prominent NHRA drivers, including Erica Enders and Shawn Langdon.
