At the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota, reigning Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown showcased his prowess by posting the fastest run of the day, clocking in at 3.742 seconds and 334.90 mph. This performance earned him the provisional No. 1 spot and the coveted American Rebel Light Rebel Axe trophy, a custom electric guitar shaped like a beer pack, along with a $4,000 bonus. Brown, who has seen considerable success at the track, expressed excitement about the run, stating it positions him well for the rest of the competition.

In Funny Car, Austin Prock matched the energy with his run of 3.893 seconds at 331.45 mph, also claiming the Rebel Axe trophy and bonus. Demonstrating confidence, Prock noted his active pursuit of a regular-season championship and his aim for a strong weekend in Brainerd, especially following a recent race victory.

Greg Anderson took the lead in Pro Stock with a strong 6.614-second run in his Chevrolet Camaro, earning a $2,000 bonus. Anderson, who feels at home racing in Brainerd, looked forward to maintaining momentum through the qualifying rounds.

As the event continues, with further qualifying rounds scheduled, the competition remains fierce among top contenders like Clay Millican and Erica Enders across the Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock categories.
