The 14th annual NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals took place at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, marking the 17th event of the 2023 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Key results included Doug Kalitta winning in Top Fuel with a time of 3.796 seconds, followed by Ida Zetterstrom and Justin Ashley. In Funny Car, Matt Hagan secured victory with a run of 3.979 seconds, defeating Jack Beckman. Pro Stock was won by Greg Anderson, who recorded a 6.531-second run over Matt Hartford. Gaige Herrera triumphed in Pro Stock Motorcycle with a time of 6.791 seconds, as Brayden Davis recorded a foul for a red light.

Additional competition results featured victories in various categories such as Competition Eliminator, Stock Eliminator, and Super Stock. Point standings in Top Fuel are led by Kalitta (2409 points), followed closely by Justin Ashley and Shawn Langdon. Austin Prock (2361 points) heads the Funny Car category, while Dallas Glenn leads Pro Stock with 2426 points. Richard Gadson tops the Pro Stock Motorcycle standings with 2379 points.
