At the 37th annual Denso Sonoma Nationals, Austin Prock secured his fifth victory of the 2025 season in Funny Car, defeating rookie Spencer Hyde in the final with a remarkable time of 3.904 seconds at 333.82 mph. This victory marked Prock’s first at Sonoma, further solidifying his lead in the championship standings. He demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the day, including a record-setting 340-mph run in his opening heat against Cruz Pedregon.

In Pro Stock, Greg Stanfield triumphed in a memorable father-son duel against Aaron Stanfield, achieving a run of 6.552 seconds. This was the first Pro Stock face-off for the duo, with Greg claiming his first victory in the class since 2011. Meanwhile, Richard Gadson won the Pro Stock Motorcycle category, beating John Hall with a time of 6.756 seconds, marking his second career victory.

The series continues with the upcoming NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing event in Brainerd, Minnesota, reinforcing the excitement and competitiveness of the season. Standings see Prock leading in Funny Car, Dallas Glenn in Pro Stock, and Gaige Herrera in Pro Stock Motorcycle, as racers continue to vie for supremacy in their classes.
