This victory marked Prock’s first at Sonoma, further solidifying his lead in the championship standings. He demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the day, including a record-setting 340-mph run in his opening heat against Cruz Pedregon.

In Pro Stock, Greg Stanfield triumphed in a memorable father-son duel against Aaron Stanfield, achieving a run of 6.552 seconds. This was the first Pro Stock face-off for the duo, with Greg claiming his first victory in the class since 2011. Meanwhile, Richard Gadson won the Pro Stock Motorcycle category, beating John Hall with a time of 6.756 seconds, marking his second career victory.

The series continues with the upcoming NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing event in Brainerd, Minnesota, reinforcing the excitement and competitiveness of the season.
