MMA legend Randy “The Natural” Couture is embarking on a new adventure as a Pro Mod driver, adding this title to his impressive career. During the Gerber Collision & Glass NHRA Route 66 Nationals, SCAG Racing unveiled Couture’s new 1937 Chevy Pro Modified hot rod, painted in the distinct Cats Eye Gold of SCAG Power Equipment. The car showcases SCAG products like the Jackal mini skid steer and the Tree Frog slope mower, integrating the brand’s identity into Couture’s latest venture.

Couture is currently completing his NHRA Pro Mod licensing and is set for his competition debut at the NHRA Virginia Nationals next month. Expressing his enthusiasm, Couture stated, “The car hasn’t looked better… I’m excited to be in Cats Eye Gold, back in orange and black, returning to my wrestling roots.” He emphasized his eagerness to learn new skills and engage his competitive spirit through Pro Mod racing, anticipating an exciting year ahead.

As a UFC Hall of Famer, actor, and former U.S. Army Sergeant, Couture is no stranger to competition. This new chapter of racing at speeds exceeding 250 mph introduces a fresh challenge. The SCAG Pro Mod will remain showcased during the Route 66 NHRA Nationals weekend, an event particularly significant for SCAG Racing, as many employees and dealers from its parent company, Metalcraft of Mayville, are in attendance.
