Mike Martyn, a 59-year-old entrepreneur and owner of MJM Trucking, has dedicated much of his life to his passion for automobiles, particularly Mustangs. His journey began with a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle, followed by a 1965 Mustang coupe, sparking a lifelong love for the brand. In 1985, he transformed his first 1965 Mustang fastback into a high-performance machine but sold it in 2005 after experiencing a vivid dream warning him of danger. Following an unfortunate garage fire that destroyed his next car, Martyn rebuilt his collection, winning several races with a turbocharged Fox body Mustang.

In 2017, Martyn sold that Fox to fund his dream project: a 1965 Mustang fastback. After discovering a rusty barn find and facing numerous challenges over seven years—including COVID-related delays—he meticulously crafted the car, which he named “Mona Lisa.” Built with a powerful 567 ci big block Ford and advanced components, the fastback reflects Martyn’s craftsmanship and dedication.

The car debuted at the 2024 International Show Car Association’s Auto-Rama, winning several prestigious titles, and quickly found success at the drag strip. Supported by his family, Martyn’s journey exemplifies the blend of passion and perseverance in creating the car of his dreams, symbolizing not just automotive achievement but personal fulfillment.
