The PDRA Mid-Atlantic Showdown, scheduled for May 21-23 at Virginia Motorsports Park, has been cancelled due to persistent rain and mist, along with worsening weather forecasts. This event, the third of seven in the 2026 PDRA schedule, will not be rescheduled. Series director Tyler Crossnoe explained that continuous heavy mist and upcoming rain led to this decision, expressing regret over the cancellation.

Participants’ entries, crew passes, motorhome, and pit parking passes will be transferred to the next event they attend this season. Spectator tickets bought online will be refunded automatically to the original payment method.

The 2026 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series is set to continue with the Hoosier Racing Tire North vs. South Shootout, taking place from June 25-27 at Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Maryland. This cancellation emphasizes the challenges faced by motorsport events in adverse weather conditions, impacting both racers and spectators alike.
