Qualifying at Route 66 Raceway concluded with consistent top performances across categories. Doug Kalitta retained the No. 1 position in Top Fuel with a best time of 3.720 seconds at 338.17 mph. Despite Josh Hart setting a track speed record at 341.25 mph, Kalitta secured a first-round bye for Sunday’s eliminations. In Funny Car, Jack Beckman’s Friday run of 3.913 seconds went unmatched, leaving him at the top again, with Ron Capps and Austin Prock following. Beckman acknowledged that while recent runs were challenging, valuable data was gained.

Meanwhile, Erica Enders achieved her first No. 1 qualifying spot in nearly two years with a run of 6.542 seconds at 209.92 mph, aiming for her 50th career victory. Enders was optimistic about her progress, linking it to her history at the track. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Angie Smith consistently led qualifying, expressing confidence in her motorcycle as she focused on winning.

During the Saturday #2Fast2Tasty event, both Enders and Alexis DeJoria secured key victories. Enders’s win helped her regain momentum in a challenging season, while DeJoria celebrated her return to the winner’s circle despite a lackluster final against her teammate. Shawn Langdon and Gaige Herrera also claimed victories, solidifying an exciting lead-up to Sunday’s eliminations, with Herrera noting the competitiveness of the field.
