Shawn Langdon led the way at the rain-shortened Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway, securing the provisional No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel with a time of 3.800 seconds at 328.54 mph. This run could give him his first No. 1 qualifier of the season, ending teammate Doug Kalitta’s streak of four. Langdon expressed satisfaction with the team’s adjustments after a disappointing prior race, citing a successful setup for the run.

In Funny Car, Alexis DeJoria also made a strong statement, posting a 3.948 at 328.14, positioning herself for her first No. 1 qualifier since 2021. Despite the rain halting further runs, she reflected on her past successes at Bristol and the track’s unique atmosphere.

Dallas Glenn led in Pro Stock, achieving a potential second No. 1 qualifier with a run of 6.645 at 205.60. Following a setback in Epping, he quickly rebounded, showcasing his determination and teamwork.

Brayden Davis grabbed the top spot in Pro Stock Motorcycle with a 6.870 at 197.22 in just his second career race. Riding for the Vance & Hines team, he aims for his first No. 1 qualifier while adapting to the competitive pressure.

Qualifying will resume on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET, promising exciting developments in this eighth race of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
