Kane Kern, a remarkable 16-year-old racer from Louisiana, added significant achievements to his racing resume at the 2025 WDRA Summit World Championships. With ten years of experience, Kern claimed the title of World Champion and a $10,000 purse in junior dragster racing. Introduced to the sport by his father, Coty, Kern has since excelled, achieving a remarkable 74% final-round appearance rate, 99 wins out of 246 events, and eight track championships, among other accolades.

At the championships, despite a late arrival and initial performance hiccups, Kern’s skills emerged as he outperformed fierce competition in a 45-car field. His natural talent for finish-line driving, honed through practice and strategic advice from his father, was key to his success. In the final round, Kern expertly managed his reaction time to clinch victory against Ella Parsley, earning him the prestigious title and a commemorative trophy.

Kern, reflecting on his win, emphasized the importance of learning from defeats and credited his victory to the support of his family, including his mother and girlfriend. He expressed his intent to continue competing in juniors until he ages out, aiming for further victories on his checklist, including winning a $20,000 race. Kern plans to reinvest his winnings into his racing program, looking forward to a future filled with opportunities, regardless of the vehicle he drives.
