John Force Racing (JFR) has officially announced the departure of two-time NHRA Funny Car Champion Austin Prock and his father, Tom Prock, along with their crew. This parting marks a significant transition in the NHRA Silly Season, with rumors suggesting that the Prock family may join an expanded Bob Tasca III Racing team. Meanwhile, Brittany Force concluded her stint in the Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster after the NHRA Finals at Pomona to focus on family life. Josh Hart will succeed her for the 2026 season, having sold his own Top Fuel operation to join the championship-winning team, although the status of Crew Chief David Grubnic remains uncertain.

In a press release, John Force expressed gratitude for the Procks, highlighting their contributions to the team’s recent success. He reaffirmed JFR’s commitment to moving forward, with plans for four race teams and continued partnerships. The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series is set to kick off its 75th anniversary season on March 5-8, 2026, at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. The changes within JFR exemplify the dynamic nature of the NHRA and the ever-evolving landscape of drag racing.
