Jordan Vandergriff will drive the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car for John Force Racing in the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. This announcement was made at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show and marks a significant career milestone for Vandergriff, a California native. He sees this opportunity as a dream come true and admires John Force, the greatest Funny Car driver of all time.

Vandergriff boasts a versatile NHRA background, including two starts during the 2025 season while substituting for an injured driver, and 11 Top Fuel events in 2019. His achievements include a runner-up finish in Dallas. Additionally, he has contributed as an NHRA on FOX reporter and gained attention by appearing on the reality show “The Bachelor” in 2022. He is also the nephew of veteran racer Bob Vandergriff, Jr.

Vandergriff feels confident about transitioning to Funny Cars, noting the different challenges they present. Cornwell Quality Tools has partnered with John Force Racing since 2019 and will continue as the primary sponsor for the Funny Car program. CEO Bob Studenic expressed excitement about Vandergriff’s selection, highlighting his talent and competitive spirit.
