Jeff Melnick has solidified his legendary status in the PDRA Northern Nationals by clinching his third consecutive victory in the Pro 632 class, driving Alan O’Brien’s Greenbrier Excavating & Paving ’20 Camaro. This win marks Melnick’s second of the 2025 season and highlights his remarkable consistency, as he achieved this feat with three different engines over the years.

Melnick’s latest triumph came with a Barry Allen-built Ford engine, making him the first to win three years in a row with three distinct powerplants: AMC, Chevy, and Ford. He praised his team’s adaptability, stating, “They take it in stride and figure out a way to make this car fast.”

In the competition, Melnick qualified No. 2 and dominated each round, posting the low elapsed time (E.T.) in every match. His path to victory included a 4.156 run against Joe Valerio in Round 1, a 4.173 against local favorite Nicole Liberty in the semifinals, and a final-round 4.144 to beat Lexi Tanner.

Tanner, who qualified No. 1, also showcased her talent, advancing through challenging rounds but ultimately fell short against Melnick’s consistency. This win not only earns Melnick an $8,000 Power Purse but also further builds his momentum heading into the latter half of the PDRA season, bolstering his legacy in Pro 632 history.
