ICU Racing

Drag racing is about more than speed; it’s about connecting fans to the sport through storytelling. For 2025, the NHRA has assembled a dynamic announcer lineup that enhances the race experience. Joe Castello returns for high-energy commentary, while Jason Galvin balances his announcing with duties as NHRA Sportsman Manager. Jason Logan keeps the atmosphere lively as the trackside DJ. New additions include David Freiburger from Hot Rod Magazine and former Top Fuel driver Jordan Vandergriff, who will handle pit reporting. Courtney Enders will cover both the Mission Foods and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

Special guest announcers such as Ida Zetterström and Angelle Sampey will join the team at select races, bringing their unique insights. Castello highlighted the team’s passion and commitment to telling the stories of drag racing’s greatest racers.

The NHRA is excited to showcase this talent along with enhanced broadcasting features, according to Senior Vice President Evan Jonat. The incorporation of new voices, NHRA legends, upgraded graphics, a better PA system, and additional jumbotrons at events is set to transform the fan experience. Every event in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series will be streamed live on NHRA.TV, with a free stream of the March 4–5 Gainesville test session. The season begins with the NHRA Gatornationals from March 6–9, promising great racing and compelling storytelling for fans.
