IHRA CEO Darryl Cuttell emphasized the importance of honoring the facility’s deep-rooted history in motorsports while aiming to foster a sustainable future. Leah Martin, IHRA President, noted that the acquisition aligns with the organization’s racer-first vision and commitment to grassroots motorsports, enabling diverse uses that will impact the community year-round.
The property, previously listed at $13.5 million, was acquired for $2.06 million. With this addition, IHRA’s track portfolio now includes several other notable racetracks. Facility improvements and new programming announcements are expected in the near future.
