Matt Hartford achieved a pivotal victory on Saturday at Summit Motorsports Park, winning the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout by defeating reigning champion Greg Anderson. This win, part of the 19th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, was especially significant for Hartford, who had lost to Anderson in the previous year’s Callout final. Hartford delivered a consistent performance, completing a 6.609-second run at 207.88 mph, and earned a $40,000 prize.

Additionally, this event was the inaugural GETTRX Callout at Norwalk, heightening Hartford’s triumph. He praised the venue and its staff, stating, “It’s just a great feeling… to win here is even better.” Hartford progressed through the rounds by defeating teammate Eric Latino and Dallas Glenn, alongside Anderson’s victories over Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin Jr.

Despite the challenging racing conditions, Hartford excelled by making effective calls and maintaining consistency. He expressed optimism about future races, having previously won two years ago with a similar strategy.

Meanwhile, Anderson secured the number one qualifier in Pro Stock, marking his fourth of the season, but reflected on his loss in the Callout final. He acknowledged the competitiveness of the class and that even in defeat, there was a silver lining in his qualifying performance. Both drivers exhibited determination, likely setting the stage for a thrilling season ahead.
