Brett LaSala is on the verge of becoming a two-time Sick Week champion after he set a new drag-and-drive track record at Gainesville Raceway, clocking a remarkable 6.225 seconds in his Snot Rocket 3.0 Ford Mustang. This performance eclipsed the previous track record of 6.452 seconds held by Sweden’s Michael Westberg. LaSala’s current average of 6.282 seconds is positioned to surpass his own Sick Week record of 6.340 seconds from 2024. He expressed enthusiasm for his run, praising the track crew’s efforts and the desire of his car for more.

During the fourth day of Sick Week 2025 Presented By Gear Vendors Overdrive, several notable competitors also showcased their skills, including Josh Davis in the Modified category with a time of 6.372 seconds, Graham Hayes leading in Unlimited iron at 6.505 seconds, Pro Street’s Glenn Hunter at 6.933 seconds, and Super Street competitor Bob Hess Jr at 7.338 seconds.

However, the event has seen misfortune for some, as Bryant Goldstone and Stefan Gustafsson faced mechanical failures that eliminated them from the competition. The last day of the event involves a short drive of 127 miles to South Georgia Motorsports Park, where competitors will showcase their vehicles and connect with local fans through a celebrated cruise in Lake City. Racing is scheduled from 11 am to 5 pm on February 1, 2025.
