Brett LaSala is poised to secure his status as a two-time Sick Week champion after achieving a new drag-and-drive track record at Gainesville Raceway, clocking in at a remarkable 6.225 seconds with his Snot Rocket 3.0 Ford Mustang. This performance surpasses the previous record of 6.452 seconds set by Sweden’s Michael Westberg. LaSala’s average of 6.282 seconds also has the potential to eclipse his 2024 Sick Week average. LaSala expressed satisfaction with the results, praising the track crew’s efforts and the performance of his car.

Preparations for the fourth day of Sick Week 2025, presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, involved collaboration from various sponsors and local teams. Several drivers achieved personal bests, including Josh Davis in Modified (6.372 seconds) and Graham Hayes in Unlimited (6.505 seconds). However, the nature of the competition impacted two drivers negatively; Bryant Goldstone faced a mechanical issue that halted his run, while Stefan Gustafsson experienced an oil pump failure.

Competitors are set to complete the shortest drive of the week—127 miles back to South Georgia Motorsports Park for the final day. The route features a festive cruise through Lake City with closures for fan enjoyment, showcasing high-performance street cars accompanied by live music. Day five’s racing at South Georgia Motorsports Park is scheduled for February 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
