At the PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway, three-time Pro Nitrous champion Tommy Franklin secured the No. 1 qualifier position, his third in five races for the 2025 season. Rain limited qualifying sessions, but Franklin managed a competitive 3.784 at 202.67. Other top qualifiers included Preston Tanner in Pro Boost, Blake Denton in Pro Street, and Elijah Morton in Extreme Pro Stock.

Franklin aims to catch points leader Amber Denton, with whom he has a father-daughter rivalry. In Pro Boost, Tanner’s 3.674 at 203.98 marked his first No. 1 since 2022. Morton’s comeback saw him take the top spot in Extreme Pro Stock with a 4.174, while Nicole Liberty earned her first Pro 632 qualifier award with a 4.253.

In sportsman divisions, Glenn Butcher and Jody Stroud led in their respective classes, while Chloe Geryes topped the Junior Dragster ranks. Notable performances included Blake Denton’s 4.036 in Pro Street and Connor McGee’s commanding run in Super Street.

As racers prepared for eliminations, the event included passionate displays from competitors. Tickets for Saturday’s events were available, and fans could stream the action live. The Winners Circle celebration is scheduled for later in the day. This event continues to showcase elite drag racing talent as participants aim for crucial championship points.
