In a thrilling finale at the Summit Racing Equipment PDRA East Coast Nationals, Tommy Franklin triumphed over Keith Haney in the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous class. Haney initially took a holeshot lead, but mechanical issues halted his run, allowing Franklin to secure victory with a time of 3.676 seconds at 206.64 mph. The event, held at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC, also featured several other class winners, including Jason Harris in Pro Boost and J.C. Beattie Jr. in Pro 632.

The Duggins family had a standout performance in the sportsman categories, with Scott Duggins winning in Elite Top Sportsman and his son Josh winning in Elite Top Dragster. In the Edelbrock Bracket Bash, Carson Brown claimed the win when opponent Kristen Byrd went red.

In Jr. Dragster, Katelyn Page and Kole Paone emerged as winners in their respective divisions, with both final rounds featuring closely contested races.

Among other highlights, Jason Harris faced challenges from a weight penalty but managed to clinch victory, while Blake Denton celebrated a significant birthday win in Pro Street. Notably, Austin Vincent emerged as the Super Street champion, showcasing the team’s hard work on a new fuel system.

The exciting weekend culminated with competitors preparing for the next round of the PDRA series at the Mid-Atlantic Showdown in May.
