The BTE World Footbrake Challenge XIX, a premier event for footbrake racers, took place at Bristol Dragway from July 3-6, 2025. Featuring over $60,000 in prizes, the competition attracted a record number of participants, starting with a $5K Gamblers Race on Thursday. Gage Burch claimed victory against Nick Scheckelhoff in the final round, showcasing impressive skills.

Friday and Saturday each had $20K main events, with Mason Fix emerging as the champion on Saturday by defeating Steve Wagner. Fix credited his success to his car’s performance, while Lindamood took home the win on Friday against Stevie Dustin, marking his first victory in the competition.

Champion Chad Dotson rounded out the event on Sunday, winning the final against Chris Strange. Dotson expressed his gratitude for achieving his goal to win a WFC event after years of near misses.

Gage Burch was honored as the Mike Mo MVP for his stellar performances throughout the weekend, reflecting the camaraderie and respect among racers. The event concluded with applause for Bristol Dragway’s staff and excitement for the upcoming Labor Day Footbrake Challenge. The weekend exemplified not just competition but also the spirit of racing and community among participants.
