At the NHRA Sonoma Nationals, Brittany Force, Matt Hagan, Dallas Glenn, and Richard Gadson maintained their No. 1 qualifying positions. Force set a remarkable world record with a 3.645-second run at 343.16 mph, facing points leader Shawn Langdon in the first round. Hagan’s 3.861-second pass secured him the top Funny Car spot, marking his first of the season. Glenn achieved a track record in Pro Stock with a 6.471 at 211.79 mph, securing his No. 1 qualifier status.

Gadson claimed his first career No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle with a 6.702 at 200.77 mph. Eliminations are set to begin Sunday at 10:30 a.m. PT.

Additionally, six-time Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Matt Smith won the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout for the second consecutive year, defeating Gadson in the final after Gadson went red by .001 seconds. Smith’s run was 6.783 seconds at 199.76 mph, and he praised the event’s significance as Denso’s home race.

In the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, Force triumphed over Justin Ashley while Hagan was beaten by Ron Capps, who celebrated a bonus race win. Glenn’s additional victory in the Pro Stock Challenge emphasized his dominance as he prepares for the eliminations.
