The Corvette ZR1X has emerged as a standout in automotive performance, achieving an astonishing 8.7-second quarter-mile time at 159 MPH, marking it as the fastest customer-owned production car. This exceptional speed was recorded during real-world testing at TX2K 2026, solidifying the ZR1X’s status in hypercar territory. The vehicle accelerates from 0–60 MPH in just 1.7 seconds and reaches 60–130 MPH in a remarkable 3.8 seconds, rivaling some of the fastest hypercars. Notably, its performance isn’t a one-off; multiple runs in the low 8-second range demonstrate consistent capabilities, a feat previously reserved for high-end drag builds or multimillion-dollar hypercars.

The ZR1X continues to perform well under varied conditions, achieving low 9-second runs on unprepared surfaces common at many drag events. Its impressive performance stems from an advanced powertrain that combines a twin-turbo LT7 V8 engine with a front-mounted electric motor, generating around 1,250 horsepower and facilitating all-wheel-drive traction. This setup allows the ZR1X to outperform competitors such as the Ferrari SF90 and Lamborghini Revuelto in stock form.

Notably, the ZR1X is a fully functional production vehicle, allowing drivers to enjoy its immense power on the road and at the track, making it a groundbreaking achievement in the automotive industry. With the aftermarket tuning just beginning, the potential for even greater performance is on the horizon, cementing the ZR1X’s dominance in the Dragtimes scene.
