After missing the Grand National Roadster Show for the past two years due to scheduling conflicts, anticipation builds for next year’s event. Fortunately, photographer Darr Hawthorne was on-site to capture the highlights, including the reveal of this year’s America’s Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR) winner, a stunning 1936 Ford owned by Ross Myers. Crafted by Rad Rides by Troy, this roadster is a remarkable blend of style, precision, and attitude. While many AMBR contenders are high-end builds, the dedication poured into this vehicle is evident, showcasing the craftsmanship and artistry characteristic of Rad Rides by Troy.

The 1936 Ford Roadster features unique design elements such as a pushed-back firewall, a shorter grille, and a chopped rear, all crafted from steel. It sits on a 113-inch ribbed frame with a removable X-member, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Under the hood, the car boasts a powerful 1957 312 Y-block engine equipped with a McCulloch VS57 supercharger, complete with hidden EFI throttle bodies that marry classic looks with modern fuel injection technology. The suspension system employs a torsion bar setup and includes custom-machined components, exemplifying meticulous engineering and attention to detail. Congratulations to Ross Myers and the team at Rad Rides by Troy for this stunning achievement, a true testament to automotive artistry.
