The Funny Car Chaos tour made its long-anticipated debut at Lebanon Valley Dragway during the East Coast Chaos on September 19-20, 2025, benefiting from excellent late-summer weather. The event featured a traditional 1/8-mile Funny Car competition along with 1/8-mile racing from Top Dragster/Top Sportsman competitors and 1/4-mile races from the All-Star Racers Association. Fourteen Funny Cars participated, including 12 blown alcohol and 2 nitro cars.

Friday highlighted a successful test and tune, with Doug Fassl’s “Wildly Disturbed” Mustang recording the first 3-second run of the weekend at 3.960 seconds, albeit at a decreased speed due to a malfunction. Jim Gifford set the qualifying benchmark with a remarkable 3.708 seconds, while several other cars closely followed, including Joe Pirrone and Paul Conlon.

Saturday’s final qualifying rounds improved performance conditions. Brian White made a surprise entry to the top rankings with a 4.088-second run, while Gifford continued his dominance. Eliminations began shortly after, featuring impressive runs, notably Gifford’s win in the A-Field final with a 3.754-second pass.

In addition to the Funny Car events, Top Dragster/Top Sportsman races concluded with Bob Vojtila leading in low elapsed time. The weekend included multiple classes and thrilling matchups. The overall event showcased incredible talent and competitive spirit, culminating in thrilling finals across all divisions.
