The victory not only earned him a $1,000 prize but also the honors for both the “Highest” and “Farthest” wheelstands. Though his car suffered some damage, including bent A-arms and blown tires, he managed to participate in Super Pro bracket racing the following day, achieving three rounds before the damage caught up.
Schneider’s dragster, equipped with a 565-cubic-inch big block engine, has consistently performed wheelstands throughout the season. During the memorable event, activating the nitrous led to an unexpectedly high ascent while he focused on controlling the landing. After the landing, despite some damage to the chassis, he was able to quickly return to competition.
Looking ahead, Schneider plans to modify his dragster with a front suspension and wheelie bar to manage future wheelstands better. Supported by his business and various sponsors, he’s set on enhancing his vehicle’s performance for the upcoming season.
