Unlike standard converters, FTI’s upgraded 10R80 torque converters are crafted entirely in-house, employing furnace-brazed construction and a robust billet steel cover to enhance strength and durability. The design features a relocated clutch pack at the rear, further improving resilience for high-horsepower demands. Additionally, FTI has engineered a proprietary billet steel stator for the converter, offering 20 different stator combinations tailored to various performance needs.
FTI is currently testing this new 10R80 torque converter, with the final version expected to launch by the first quarter of 2026. Further details about this innovative, high-horsepower converter will soon be available on FTI’s website, showcasing their commitment to delivering advanced solutions for enhanced performance in Coyote engine applications.
