The PDRA Drag Racing Series postponed the completion of Saturday eliminations at the KTR Drag Racing PDRA Carolina Nationals due to rapidly dropping track temperatures. While two rounds of eliminations in professional classes were completed, the decision was made to hold off on further racing for safety reasons, as the series did not want to compromise racing surface integrity. The postponed races will resume at the Summit Racing Equipment PDRA East Coast Nationals at Darana Motorsports Park from April 16-18.

Tyler Crossnoe, the series director, emphasized the importance of safety, noting the cold conditions. Earlier in the day, record-breaking performances were noted, including a close battle for the WS Construction Pro Boost title, where Johnny Camp edged out Randy Weatherford with a 3.542-second pass.

The semifinals for various classes promised exciting matchups: Tommy Franklin versus Fredy Scriba in Pro Nitrous and Jerry Morgano against Blake Denton in Pro Street, among others.

In sportsman classes, multiple rounds were completed, while some events like the Edelbrock Bracket Bash did not start, leading to refunds for entrants. Pro Jr. Dragster had one round completed, and the Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster did not start eliminations. The Carolina Nationals will be wrapped up during the East Coast Nationals if conditions allow.
