Due to rain forecasts, IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series advanced professional qualifying by an hour at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, resulting in strong performances in cooler conditions. Lee Callaway secured the top position in Top Fuel with a career-best 3.055 elapsed time at 282.31 mph, followed by Gary Pritchett at No. 2 with a 3.106 at 274.06 mph.

In Funny Car, Del Worsham claimed the No. 1 spot with a 3.291 at 272.23 mph, while Dale Creasy Jr., previously undefeated, failed to qualify with a 3.629, placing ninth. Worsham emphasized the significance of the first run for setting the pace for the weekend.

In Pro Mod, Jason Harris topped the charts with a 3.601 elapsed time in his ’69 Camaro, followed closely by Kye Kelley and Tony Wilson. Harris attributed his success to a strong team effort and different strategies.

Dwayne Rice excelled in Mountain Motor Pro Stock, earning the No. 1 slot with a 4.046 at 177.44 mph, while Bubba Stanton led Outlaw Pro Mod with a 3.558. Joey Severance ranked first in Top Alcohol Dragster with a 3.465 at 222.44 mph, and Chip Beverett topped Alcohol Funny Car with a 3.647 at 211.76 mph.

Eliminations will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. EST, with nitro categories scheduled for 12:30 p.m., streamed live on SpeedSport1 and IHRA’s YouTube channel.
