NHRA Funny Car driver and team owner Buddy Hull is temporarily trading in his nitro Funny Car for a nitrous-fed 2006 Ford Mustang at the Clash of the Titans radial race in Ferris, Texas, due to repairs on his primary vehicle following a Gatornationals incident. Since launching his career in 2021, Hull has established himself as a fan favorite in the NHRA community, but recent downtime has been challenging.

Expressing his eagerness to return to racing, Hull said, “I am going a little crazy not being in a race car.” The opportunity arose through his connections with Sam Pack Ford and FS Performance, allowing him to maintain his competitive edge and support grassroots racing. The 2006 Mustang, renowned for its previous record-setting pass in Ultra Street, is maintained by JD Campbell and the Dynamic Racing Solutions team and is a highly competitive radial vehicle.

Xtreme Raceway Park, now an NHRA-sanctioned facility, adds professionalism to the event, and Hull is excited to participate. He emphasized the significance of NHRA standards in racing operations and looks forward to the adrenaline of the event. Despite shifting to a different class, Hull continues to represent his partners with branded logos on the Mustang, ensuring he remains visible and connected to the sport while his primary Funny Car program gets back on track.
