The inaugural NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS is set to take place at Maryland International Raceway, marking the second of four new events in the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Top Fuel veteran Antron Brown, a four-time world champion, aims to build on his recent runner-up finish in Chicago, his best result of the season. Brown considers this East Coast race a home track event and feels optimistic about his team’s performance after gaining confidence from consecutive successful runs in Chicago.

The event promises thrilling action and pays tribute to the NHRA’s 75th anniversary, featuring special appearances, including that of drag racing legend Shirley Muldowney. Additionally, the first 4,000 fans will receive a limited-edition pennant. The Potomac Nationals will showcase all four classes of the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series with coverage on FOX.

Brown is set to participate in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge against Leah Pruett, while prominent racers like Doug Kalitta, Tony Stewart, and rookie Maddi Gordon are also in attendance. He expressed his pride in being named to the Top 75 Driver List, highlighting how significant this acknowledgment is for his career.

Qualifying rounds for the event will be held on May 29-30, with final eliminations taking place on May 31. Tickets are available online, with children under 12 admitted free with an adult ticket. For further NHRA information, fans can visit the official website.
