Rain impacted the second consecutive event in the Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Raceway, forcing many eliminations to be postponed to Sunday. Despite weather challenges, several standout performances were noted. Lex Joon captured his first U.S. top fuel victory with a time of 3.96, defeating Mitch King in the final. Tim Molnar’s new Pro Nitrous Camaro achieved a low qualifying time of 3.73 and won against Tony Wilson. In pro mod, Kurt Steding finished with a 3.68, earning him victory over Wes Distefano. Del Worsham not only secured the event win in funny car but also set the event’s low elapsed time and top speed. Scott Palmer led top fuel qualifying with an impressive 3.88 and 293.73 mph.

In mountain motor pro stock, Chris Powers edged out Dillon Voss with a narrow .005 light in a tie at 4.17 seconds. Lorenzo “Killer” Brooks claimed his first top sportsman event win after Jacob Elrod broke out. Kirby McLennan matched his 4.24 number exactly to win in top dragster against Dennis Brown. Despite starting strong, Robin Roberts lost in round one after qualifying first in pro mod at 3.63. Will Smith’s A/FD took the win with a time of 5.39 over Rich McPhillips Jr, while Jay Turner triumphed in the top fuel Harley final against Jordan Peterson, clocking a time of 6.36.
