Mike Fornwalt was named the 2025 DragChamp Racer of the Year after a remarkable season in which he won 16 of 18 finals, capturing several prestigious titles, including the NHRA National ET Championship and the NHRA Race of Champions. His accomplishments were chronicled in the DragChamp Top 10 List, presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance, which highlights the most impactful racers of the year.

Fornwalt’s dominant performance also included winning both the NHRA and WDRA ET Finals, along with a $20,000 bracket race victory. Following him in the rankings was Jeff Serra, who secured the second spot with eight major wins while racing seven different cars, including a notable $40,000 triumph at the Southern Big Buck Nationals.

Charlie Lockhart ranked third after achieving 23 final appearances, while Joe Foley matched Serra’s eight wins and made waves at the TB 250K. Gage Burch and Donovan Williams were also recognized for their successful seasons, ending up in fifth and sixth places respectively.

Other prominent racers included Cooper Chun, Nick Folk, and Lucas Walker, who all showcased an impressive number of big-money wins. The list also featured Darian Boesch and Keith Mayes, who excelled in their respective categories, alongside Justin Lamb, who captured his sixth NHRA World Championship.
