He achieved an impressive record of 8 wins in 11 finals across both classes and secured the Division 4 championships in Stock and Super Stock. Notably, Hidalgo is also recognized as the first NHRA racer to score over 700 points without winning the championship.

Close behind him were other exceptional racers: Jeff Serra, honored as the Top Bulb Racer of the Year, celebrated notable victories including a $50,000 win and a runner-up finish at the Spring Fling Million. Jake Howard, crowned Bottom Bulb Racer of the Year, won 16 times in 25 finals, while Gage Burch made waves with his big-money wins early in the season. Jordan Johnson showed remarkable consistency, achieving 14 victories and sweeping the IHRA World Finals.

Rounding out the list were Jeff Taylor, CW Hoefer, Charlie Lockhart, Jayden Lawler, and Joe Sorensen, who won the NHRA Stock Eliminator world championship by a narrow margin. The DragChamp Top 10 List celebrates these racers for their significant contributions and performances throughout the thrilling 2024 racing season, providing insight into the competitive landscape of drag racing.
