On February 18, 2025, Hot Rod Heaven USA showcased Dean Moslow’s impressive 1996 Nissan 300ZX, known as the Devil Z. A seasoned veteran and racer with extensive experience in street and strip competitions, Dean has transformed his 300ZX into an 8-second quarter-mile powerhouse. Under the hood, the car boasts a sleeved VG30DE V6 engine equipped with billet main caps and a Pulsar 7682 turbocharger, enhanced with a Rob Build kit. The custom-built intake manifold allows the Devil Z to deliver an impressive 1,085 hp on boost, and up to 1,200 hp with a 75 hp nitrous shot. Dean’s record run stands at an exhilarating 8.1 seconds at 168 mph.

The vehicle features a GM TH400 automatic transmission paired with an 8.8-inch rear end sourced from a Ford Explorer. Its suspension system includes front and rear components from Import Drag Solutions, while the wheels measure 15×3 at the front and 15×8 at the rear. The car maintains stock front brakes, with high-performance Wilwood brakes at the rear. Notably, the standout paint color is a unique vintage garbage truck shade, which adds a personal touch to this formidable racing machine. Dean’s dedication and expertise in various racing formats, including drag-and-drive events and street racing, underline the Devil Z’s status as one of the fastest Z cars on the streets.
